I stumbled upon these records from the Butler Co., MO archives and now I am interested in the Shrout responsible.

BUTLER COUNTY MISSOURI MARRIAGE APPLICATIONSMissouri Archives Roll # 6 Film No. C17774 Book 04 Butler County Court House
February 20, 1893
LIVINGSTON, Hugh Poplar Bluff Twp, Butler Co., Mo. age 21
SHROUT, Mrs. Josephine Poplar Bluff Twp, Butler Co., Mo. age 18
If Josephine was 18 in 1893 and her daughter Cora Lee was 15 in 1898 then Josephine would have been 8 years old when she gave birth to Cora Lee, she is listed as "Mrs." Josephine Shrout when she marries, does that suggest during this time period that she was married to a "Shrout" or could this be her maiden name?
Other than maybe some age fibbing I can't see how this is possible...
