I see what's you talking about...now! Ive just starting researching this line again and I might have caught that before but didn't notice it this time because his wife's name was Lydia (Ledbetter). (They were married in Union Co., IL) I'll check the 1880 census....Phelan is sometimes spelled as Felden so it's probably Martin Phelan. You didn't say where they were in 1880 but am assuming same county so will look again. Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention. Glenda
