Ann HEATH b. ca. 1853 (on 1860 census w/ Calloway and Millie)
Thomas Spencer HEATH b. 1 Oct 1855 in Benton Co. MO. d. 22 June 1911. He married Martha Elizabeth WILLIAMS on 22 Feb 1874. Thomas Spencer Heath became awell-known name in Hickory, Co. MO where he engaged in several enterprises under partnerships with others: Heath, Noland and Co., Heath Condley and Co, Heath, Spickert and Co. Old accounts of Hickory County stated:
William S. Barnett is a native of Benton County, Mo. is now connected with Heath, Noland & Co., merchants, of Cross Timbers, Hickory County, Mo., where he has been a resident since twenty-two years of age. He received his education in Benton County, and, after farming one year, came to Hickory County, as above stated, and bought an interest in the steam mills at Cross Timbers, which he continued to operate two years; then sold out and bought his father's old homestead in Benton County, This farm he sold two years later, and purchased property near Cross Timbers; but, after farming here three years, sold out to Heath, Noland & Co., and at that date became a member of their mercantile firm, and also owns an interest in their mill and real estate. He is now occupied in superintending the mill at Cross Timbers.
Heath, Condley and Company to Heath, Spickert and Company In the spring of 1873, when he removed to Cross-Timbers, Mo., and engaged in merchandising under the firm names of Heath & Condley, this being the first mercantile venture of his life, he having been engaged at his trade of blacksmithing and farming during his earlier career. Mr. Condley continued to sell goods almost continuously until a few days prior to his demise when he sold his stock to Messrs. Heath & Spickert. Mr. Condley was a past master in the masonic fraternity and a member of the Christian Church.
By 1910 Thomas Spencer Heath had moved to Kern County, CA where at age 54 and 53, he and his wife are living with two children still at home: Horace 14 and Shelton, 12. Thomas Spencer Heath says he is working as a house carpenter and that they have had 10 children, but only 6 are still living.

CA, and in 1920 he is in Taft, Kern Co. CA. In 1917 he is in Washiojo, Santa Barbara Co. CA. (His draft registration said he had red hair and blue eyes.) Ercell (Bruce) Heath went on to marry two more times. Ercell Heath married a widower Henry Leonard Hobbs b. 25 Aug 1887 in Baker City, OR. In 1930 Ercell (Bruce) (Heath) Hobbs was living with her 2nd husband Henry Hobbs in Wasiojo, Santa Barbara, CA where he worked in the oil fields. With them were his children by his first wife Ella Pearl Scott and Ercell’s four children by Horace Thomas Heath.Ercell must have married a 3rd time because she died as Ercell STILLWELL on 19 Mar 1962 in Kern Co. CA. Her mothers maiden name was listed as Anderson.

Ida was the daughter of Isaac Wickliffe b. 1805 VA and his wife Narcissa/Narcissus Hudspeth b. 1820 d. 1865 buried in Shawnee Cem. Benton Co. MO. Living next door to Isaac Wickliffe in 1870 was the family of Abraham Jenkins whose two sons Phineas and Joseph go on to marry Heath girls. John and Ida moved from Benton Co. MO to Chico, Butte Co. CA by 1886. They are in the 1900 census and had at that point been married 23 years. In 1900 they are living as boarders with the family of Andrew McGarrett in Chico, Butte Co. CA as ‘farm laborer.’ They state they have had 9 children but by 1900 only 4 still living. By 1910 census they are in Santa Barbara Co. CA still general farm labor, but have had a child. They have been married 33 years and only Isaac C. and Millie are living with them. They are 52 and 48 years of age in 1910.

In the 1880 census William and Pauline (called Perlina) are living and farming in Tom Twp, Benton Co. MO. with one 11 mo old daughter, Cora. They must have divorced before 1885 since William J Heath remarried in that year. William Jonas Heath married 2nd Annie Ellen HOLLOWAY b.10 Aug 1867 Butte Ranch, Butte Co. CA, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Holloway b 1835 Benton Co. MO. d. 1919 Santa Barbara, CA. and his wife Hettie Holloway born inDelaware.William Jonas Heath and Annie Holloway were married on 2 June 1885. In 1900 William Jonas Heath and his 2nd wife Annie (Holloway) Heath are found in Twp 1, Maricopa Co., AZ. They state ‘6 children, only 5 living’ in 1900.In the 1900 census for Maricopa Co. AZ, William Jonas Heath and 2nd wife Annie Holloway are farming. Sometime Pauline (Wright) Heath remarried 2ndon 14 May 1885 in Hickory Co. MO. H.R.BACON. She remarried 3rd on 11 Sept 1897 George HATFIELD in Benton Co. MO (she was listed as Pauline Bacon.)In 1900 William Jonas’s ex-wife Pauline J. (Wright) (Heath) (Bacon) and 3rd husband George H. Hatfield are living in Lindsey Twp, Warsaw City, Benton Co. MO and she has her already-widowed 21 yr old daughter Cora Roberta (Heath) McQueen and her 2 children living with them. Then the daughter Cora Roberta (Heath) McQueen and her remarried mother Pauline ‘Perlina’ (Wright) (Heath) (Bacon) Hatfield move to California. In 1910 Pauline Jane (Wright) (Heath) (Bacon) Hatfield (who says it is her 3rd marriage but his first) is living next door to her widowed daughter Cora (Heath) McQueen in Oneal FairOaks Pct, San Joaquin Co. CA. Two of Cora’s younger half-sisters by William Jonas Heath’s 2nd marriage to Annie Holloway were living with the widowed Cora (Heath) McQueen: Georgia Heath now 18, and Elberta Elizabeth Heath, now 12. In the 1920 census Pauline and George Hatfield each at age 60, are still liviing in Stockton, San Joaquin Co. CA. but Cora (Heath) McQueen is not living beside them. William Jonas Heath in 1920 census has moved out to McKittrick, Kern Co. CA where other Heaths were living. William Jonas Heath is not with Annie Holloway, 2nd wife. He is listed as living in the household of an Ella Browning age 48 b. AR, her two children John A and Lillian both born in IL, and what appears to be a 3rd wife for William Jonas, as he is listed as Ella Browning’s ‘stepfather’ and living with them is her mother-in-law ‘Arabella’ b. OH (her parents born OH and PA). Arabella Browning was the wife of John F. Browning and in 1910 they were living in Los Angeles, CA. I do not know when Arabella Browning and William Jonas Heath married, but it was late in their life after 1910. William Jonas is now 60 and Arabella listed as 64. William Jonas died 6 mos after this last census.

MO just over the Benton Co. line, but I have been unable to determine the first name of the McQueen she married. Roberta (Heath) McQueen is living as a widow first in 1900 in Lindsey Twp, Benton Co. MO, then in the 1910 census in Oneal Fair Oaks Pct, San Joaquin Co. CA. next to her (remarried) mother Pauline Jane (Wright) (Heath) (Bacon) now Hatfield. Pauline J. remarried ca. 1897 George Hoesten HATFIELD b.ca. 1858 MO and indicated it was her 3rd marriage. George Hatfield indicates it is his first marriage and both his parents were also born in MO. Cora Roberta (Heath) McQueen remarried ___SHENNAN but they were divorced by 1920. In the 1920 census she is living (indicating divorced) in Stockton, San Joaquin Co. CA. and is working as a private nurse.

CA.In 1917 when he registered for the WWI draft he was unmarried, in San Joaquin, CA working as a machinist for the Sampson Iron Works. Perhaps in late 1917 he married ___PERRY and had one child. In 1920 he is listed as age 25, divorced, and living with his mother now Cora Roberta Shennan in Stockton, San Joaquin, CA and working as a mechanic for a garage. With him is his child age 1 yr 11 mos. Child of Calloway:

Eunice S. McQUEEN b. Aug1898 MO m.__BACHES/BACKES. She was living at age 21, listed as married, with her mother Cora Shennan and divorced brother Calloway Francis Heath in Stockton, San Joaquin Co. CA. and working as a waitress in a hotel. Living with her and her mother is her child: Frances L. Brooks. Eunice (McQueen) (Baches/Backes) married again to Chester A. DAY b.ca. 1878 by 1930. April 1930 they are living in Los Angeles, CA. where Chester Day is a salesman for auto accessories. Her daughter Frances L. Brooks, now age 14 is with them.

CA.(she says both her parents were born in England). In 1920 they are living with 2 children in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co. CA and Israel M. Heath says he is employed as a driller for an oil field.

In 1930 at age 36 he is living with the family of Francis Marion Richardson and his wife Margaret Barrett (Heath) Richardson, his aunt and uncle, in Wasiojo, Santa Barbara Co. CA,.
