I have 3 Heath brothers: Jonas B. Heath (Meth Epis So minister), Stephen Preston Heath (Meth Epis So minister) and Richard Blue Heath (farmer) who were very early settlers in Benton Co. MO, circa 1839 and before. Jonas, Stephen and Richard all lived in an area in Tom Township that bordered Henry County. There are four land deeds for sections 17,18,19,20. This area is between two rivers, the Osage and the Grand, and close to the town of Tackner. It was about 5 miles west of Warsaw. They left Cabell Co. VA and moved into MO with family scattering into 3 counties: Benton, Platte, Howard. These 3 landed in Benton. I'm posting this in case it helps anyone.

RICHARD BLUE HEATH (1803-1873), m.1823 Sarah Elizabeth JORDAN (1810-1877).  He was born 15 Feb 1803 in Berkeley Co. VA. Sarah was also a Virginian, daughter of John Jordan. He lived first with his parents in Berkeley Co. VA but moved as a young boy with them to Cabell Co. about 1809. Richard and Sarah met and married in Cabell Co. VA. They moved on with the rest of the extended family to Missouri about 1839 or earlier. We can date Richard Blue Heath to Benton County in August 1939. Richard B. Heath was granted letters of administration (appointed as administrator) for Stephen Lacy Boals/Bowles estate in August 1839 and was relieved of the position in 1842. The relationship of Richard Blue Heath to Stephen Lacy Boals/Bowles (the deceased) is not known. He was also listed as the administrator of the estate of a S.L. Borok August 1839, again relationship to this family not known. Stephen Boals/Bowles left a widow named Emily (maiden name unknown). Richard Blue Heath had 12 children. He later moved to Texas circa spring 1846.

JONAS B. HEATH (1810-1840), m. 28 July1828 Margaret BARRETT. (9 Aug 1809-1867).  He was born in Cabell Co. VA. Margaret’s parents were James and Sarah (Hatfield) Barrett from Cabell County VA . She was one of 9 children and most of her family moved on to Indiana or Illinois. Jonas and Margaret married in Cabell Co VA. Jonas moved with his family to Missouri, along with his parents and other family members 1839/40. He settled in Tom Township, Benton County along with his brothers Stephen Preston Heath and Richard Blue Heath. Israel and Elizabeth Heath (their parents) are believed to have been with this group as two older adults 50-60 and 60-70 were enumerated in the household of Stephen Preston Heath in 1840. Jonas b Heath died in Benton County, leaving a widow and many children.

STEPHEN PRESTON HEATH (1812-1888), m1. 25 May1840 Mary KAYSE (d. before June1848), m2. 29 June1848 in Platte County, Martha Jane (MOORE) FOSTER (d.1916).  She was the daughter of Elijah Moore born in IN. He was born in Cabell Co. VA on March 2 1812 and died 29 August 1888 at the age of 76. Stephen later moved where his ministry took him, Platte Co and eventually Leavenworth, KS.

If anyone needs info related to HEATH family in Benton Co., please email me. Their lines are much too large to post here.
