Since you have the 1900 census for Bates Co, I will not send it. I was unable to locate the family in 1880,

Henry was on the 1890 Veterans Census. Served in the 44th Iowa Inf.Company H, for 100 days in 1864 pvt.
Filed for Pension from MO
Invalid Jul 14 1890 App# 806.519 Cert.# 1061.153 MO
Widow Oct 26 1897 App# 664.521 Cert # 479.264 MO
( You should send for the file, it will give lots of information, I have done this several times and well rewared)

Iowa Marriage 1851-1900

David 20 school teacher IN
Henry 17 "

1856 Iowa Census

21/21 Wilbrey Gooden ( Male) 34 b NC
Amanda 13 IN
David 11 "
Henry 8
George 4
Elias Gooden 21 laborer NC
This Wilbrey did not have an occupation listed, and says male while later census indicate a female.

Findagrave had the cemetery record for Green Lawn Cem. Rich Hill , Bates Co. Hannah d Oct 12 1919 ; Henry b May 10 1842 - Oct 9 1897, & others probably related

This is all find this morning Hope it helps,

Howard Boswell
