I am also researching Glasgow Thompson. If this Glasgow Thompson is the same one as appeared in Barton County, 1900, married in 1895 to "Charlotte," then he died between the 1900 and 1910 census, where Charlotte is listed as a widow and is apparently living as an "inmate" on a poor farm. If these are indeed one and the same, and I suspect they are, I imagine he died in Barton County, not Bates.
