Thanks, I forgot about the fire thing.

Well Im looking more to see if Thomas is still alive in 1890 and or if Mary had married into the lear family by then. I found the grave of my grandfather (Listed as john aged 2 in 1880) and he is besides his mother mary webb scott. But she is buried as Mary Scott Lear and her death certificate is listed as Mary Webb Lear (go figure). So Im trying to find if Thomas Marion Scott

A. was still alive in 1890
B. Had another son born 1884 named Thomas M Scott

or if he is not alive Mary had married into the lears yet

Or if they are even still in Bates.
