Thomas Hunt family
Posted by: Lisa Perry Date: November 08, 2001 at 12:29:00

Thomas and Virginia Edaline (Campbell) Hunt moved their young family to Bates County abt 1858. Thomas was a Southern sympathizer and a member of Quantrill's Raiders during the Civil War.

They had nine children before Edaline Hunt died in 1871; Thomas married Nancy Hicks in 1872 and they had three children. Thomas is found in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses in the Mingo and Grand Rivers Townships.

Thomas died after 1880 and before 1898, when his widow is found in Nevada, Vernon Co, Mo.

Appreciate any and all responses related to this family!

Regards, Lisa
