Melvina's parents David & Mary Brock. He b. 1801 VA, living Madison Co KY 1840; Garrard Co KY 1850; lost him after that.Known ch: David (Conf. soldier); John; Will J. or M.J.; Melvina; Nancy. Melvina and husband in Collin Co TX 1860 but I believe she lived Sullivan Co IN when her husband disappeared when Civil War ended. She m2) William A. Martin 1869 Cass Co MO; 1870 census Bates Co MO; 1880 Census Newton Co MO; 1900-1910 Oregon Co MO. Later on to Jackson Co MO and later to OK w/ her daughter's family.
Interesting that some of your Brock areas run rather parallel to her movements, but since I know little of the Brocks, I can't say whether there is a connection.
