I am the granddaughter of Willis Newton Lloyd. We are unsure of the date of birth I have family reports he was over 100 at death, yet his death certificate shows much younger. He was said to be from PA. and moved as a young man to Missouri, he lived in Barton County, township of Lamar and passed away there as well. The death certificate shows he was born about 1878 and passed in November 1950. The date of death is correct but I suspect the date of birth to be wrong.
I would love to have any information on his family. I never met him he passed 6 years before I was born. I am told he had Native American heritage and very well versed in natural medicenes and herbal cures. My grandmother Goldie Francis Carter was his second wife. They had several children together and he had several from his first wife. The ones I know are Hazel Bell Lloyd, Albert Lloyd, Marvin Lloyd, and Wanda Lloyd, plus a daughter from his first wife named Goldie also. There could be others as well. He was a quiet man with little to say, and had no use for modern physicians, he even run one off at gun point. Quite a character I suspect.
