Here are some links that might be helpful in researching Henry A. Boedecker.

The first provides images of Missouri death certificates, 1910-1958. The information gives his birth date as 4 March 1834, b. Germany. He died 17 Oct 1924 in Barry Co. MO. The informant was G. P. Boedecker. He did not know the names of Henry A. Boedeckerís parents.

Henry A. Boedecker served in the Union forces during the Civil War. Here is a link that provides a bit of information about him, including that his arm was severely wounded at Lookout TN in November of 1863.

At the time of the 1920 census he was living in the Federal Soldiers Home in Phelps County MO. The information includes that he was born in Hanover, Germany. It also states that he immigrated to the United States in 1846 (a little hard to read, but I think that is right), and was a naturalized citizen 1855.

The last URL is to the Missouri Naturalization Records Index. It lists a Henry Boedecker, the naturalization record year 1872, St. Louis, MO. I donít know much about naturalization records, but I believe it was necessary to apply, then naturalization occurred later. At any rate, this site will tell you how to send for the record. It is only $1.00 plus sending a stamped, self addressed #10 envelope. Even if it is the wrong Henry Boedecker it should be worth that.
