It is not unusual to find discrepancies in census information.
I found their son, Giles Sandlin, living in Anderson County KS in 1860. Sometimes by going to Google Search and putting quotes around a name you can pick up links that have information. I did that for “Giles Sandlin” and found that he married Eliza Harmon in Anderson County KS. He died and Eliza married William F. Priest prior to the 1870 Anderson Co. KS census.
