My GG grandfather John Charles Watson-DeForrest left this Earth some time after the last entry in his journal July 13, 1903. There was no information about his parents, circumstances of his demise, final resting place. No obit, funeral service, headstone. He was born in KY in 1830 and married Malinda Reed in Independence, MO in 1864. They moved to Stone County in 1876 and spent the rest of their lives there. Or did he? His youngest child Maggie Dee cared for her mother Malinda for three decades in Branson with husband Charles Reuben Barnes. Maggie kept a picture of Malinda and John Charles hanging on the wall.
We wonder if John Charles left Stone County prior to his death. Any information about him would be greatly appreciated.
