The person buried at St. Mary's is my direct ancestor Samuel Moseley Hewlett Sr. who along with George Brite and Reuben Woods were responsible for the changing and organization of Lawrence County in May 5, 1845. His 3d wife Abigail Smith Hewlett is buried at Mount Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. Abigail's sister Elizabeth Smith married Leonard Cagle. These bonds resulted in family ties for the Reunion that has become a tradition in the area.

You're in Luck again! I am the current President of the 12 Pioneer Family Reunion that met on Sunday, September 21st in Monett. Contact me to exchange more information privately.

Our Reunion members come from as far as California, Utah, Arizona, Indiana, New York, New Mexico, Texas (me) and all over Missouri including Nixa! I extend to you a personal invitation to attend our 75th Reunion. We are 300 plus in 38 States.

It woud be a miracle to locate the burial location of Samuel Moseley Hewlett Senior at St. Mary's for the 75th Diamond Reunion. It is literally "lost" for now! We have located the 12 homesteads and burials of the other 11 progenitors.
