Looking for any of the following FUNK children:
Sarah Jane Funk (1866-1930) - Nannie Funk (b.abt. 1872) - Lucy Funk (b. abt. 1862)- Lillie - Newk - Nathan - Mollie- and others unknown. Children were orphaned while still young when a cyclone killed the parents. The parents could have been killed in the 1880 Marshfield Cyclone that hit Barry Co. and killed 16 people, injured many and some even died at a later date. Some towns in Barry Co. were almost wiped out and many families relocated. If you have any of the names in your Funk family please contact me. Names that are connected to these Funk's are Wilson, Hawk/Houch, Shepard, Pendergraft, Wicklif, Brown, Algood and Schooler and others. Death and name of parents unknown. Children seem to scatter after the death of their parents. Found some of the children in other counties living with other families.

A fire in 1882 destroyed most court house records in Barry Co.
