I had looked at the census, and surmised Richard was her father, but haven't had time or finances to follow-up enough to be sure. I haven't been able to do much in many years. Are the death certificates somewhere other than Ancestry? I don't have a membership, and it seems that is the only place I can find anything. I'm so glad our library has it! I'd certainly appreciate any details you have! I do think that it is the right connection. Family legend said there was a Margaret in that branch, so it makes sense.

We visited the area over the summer, was wishing I could have done enough research to figure out where the Larkan house had been. I saw an old photo at some point, with Arthur's mother sitting in front of it.
