KY census, marriage and birth records, along with later Johnson and Audrain County census records, all indicate that Est(h)er M. Cann Wright Mitchell was the mother of James B. Mitchell. She is my g-g-grandmother via a son of her first husband. His father was James C. Mitchell who died in Hart County, KY in 1860.
James was born in Hart County, KY in approximately 1858 and moved with his widowed mother to Johnson County, MO between 1860 - 70. He is also listed on the Audrain County censuses in 1880 and 1920. I have not yet located his family on the 1900 and 1910 Missouri census since I don't readily have access to any indexes. He was living in Lewis County in 1930 - age 72.
I am trying to obtain more information on where / when his mother, Est(h)er Cann Wright Mitchell, died since I cannot locate her in Missouri after the 1870 Johnson County census when she was age 52.
Any assistance will be appreciated since I have been trying to trace her from KY for several years.
