all i know is what my gram told me, was that PO lived with his sister / husband for a short time, but that they *relinquished* him and he was *taken* by the govt and later put onto an orphan train from a school in the state of PA. he was to be *farmed out* as *cheap labor* and it was arranged quietly that he would be claimed in Atchinson by wm king. he is listed as a *hostile* on one census soon as he arrived.
I found out later that the school he was taken to was Carlisle Indian school in PA.

OH how i wish i could talke to him now and figure out some things and uncover more of the stuff that is buried
