Looking for any info regarding William Sylvester JOHNSON or his family. Born in NY State. Married Catherine MILLER in 1825. Lived in Steuben and/or Cattaraugus County, NY. Disappeared in 1838 or 1839 and presumed to have gone west with the Mormons, who were on the move then.
Children (correct order not known):
1. Kate.
2. (William) Sylvester, b. 19th November 1836 in Steuben or Cattaraugus County, NY. Moved to PA with mother. Married Eliza Eunice YOUNG in 1861 at Pleasantville, Venango County, PA. Lived in Titusville, Crawford County, PA, and owned land in Allegheny Township, Venango County, PA. Moved to MO in early 1860s. Lived in Atchison County, MO; moved to Washington Township, Page County, IA. Thence to Appleton Township, St. Clair County, MO, and/or Sedalia, Pettis County, MO. Finally moved to Grant County, SD. Died 16th November 1889.
3. George. Lived in Erie, PA. Soldier in Civil War.
