High Creek Baptist Church Records

I'm not sure if there's an answer for this or not, but thought I'd ask. I had the chance to visit High Creek Cememtery this weekend, to look up family grave stones. And had a thought.

My great-great-grandfather was rumored to be a Baptist minister, and I've always wondered why he'd move his family from the Dallas, TX area to the Watson MO area. Going to High Creek this weekend got me thinking about the reason. His name was James R HAYS (or HAYES).

His wife's maiden name was MILLION/MILLIAN, Anne or Annie. There's tons of Million's burried there.

Also all the Hays/Hayes buried in the cemetery are my relatives as well.

Does anyone know what kind of Baptist Church (American, Southern, etc.) was at High Creek? Or would the cememtery board have records of the church and it's pastors?

Or is there a church history somewhere?

Thanks for any help
