Some time ago I received an e-mail message from RowdeeAce. I printed the message with the intent of returning when I had time. That was about 4 years ago.
RowdeeAce advised finding the following gfamily group in Andrew Co.'s 1850 census of Jackson Twp.

William Newland, 13 M MO
Jordon Newland 9 M MO
John W. Newland 7 M MO
Mary E. Newland 5 F MO
Agora Newland 3 F MO
Martha A. Newland 1 F MO
Martha A. Newland was RowdeeAce's grandmother who m. Thomas Shaw Hmilton 4 Jan 1865 Red River Co., TX.
My G3 grand parents are John Davis [1800-1880] & Mary Elizabeth Newland [1801-1844] both b in VA and d. in White Co., IN. I hope to discover more about Robert & Elizabeth Davis & his Newland relatives.
