I am looking for any information regarding Evaline Simerly who was married to Joseph Smith. They are found living in Jackson Twp., St. Joseph, Andrew Co,MO on the 1860 census. They had one child, William who is listed as age 1/12.
On the 1870 census, Jackson Twp, Fillmore, Andrew Co, MO, I find Evaline with children James S, Minerva J., and Josephine. Josephine is only 1 month old. I don't know what happened to Joseph and William during that 10 year period between census records.
Is there anyone else out there researching these families? Or is there anyone who has access to records that might show whether Joseph and Evaline were divorced or whether or not he died?
