Hi Nancy, You might find more info online. There is a United Methodist Archives in Missouri. They have a website. I checked the search engine for Hannan and got no hits but, there is contact info on the page and you might have better luck contacting them. They might have a list of locations where the ministers preached. I checked the Andrew County Cemetery records and the Abstracts of wills and didn't see Hannon but you might contact the Andrew County Museum. They have a genealogist there who is really nice and helpful. She could have a family file of some kind on Hannan. I couldn't hurt to check. I have one other source I can check - it's a real long shot- I'll let you know if anything comes of it. I know a researcher in a near by county and I'll ask if she has anything on that surname. Another source for you would be to research the St. Louis Christian Advocate newspaper which is on microfilm. It was a Methodist paper and you might find an obit in there. St. Louis Public Library has it and the State Historical Library for Missouri has it. I'm waiting on a copy thru my library right now. I get the impression that it's quite a wait but when it comes, I'll keep an eye out for Hannan as I research. Bear in mind I don't think there is an index to the microfilm so you probably need to look at it yourself just to be sure. If I think of any other ideas, I'll let you know. Karren A.
