I have a Derrick Bell, son of Lydia (Dale) (Bell) Crout. Lydia was the daughter of Phillip Dale and Polly Jane (Chambers) (Botts) Dale. In 1920 Lydia was 74 and living in Boulder, Colorado with her daughter Della Crout, 31, born in Missouri.
Derrick Bell witnessed a letter for Lydia for her brother Elisha Botts (my great-great grandfather) proving his first wife had died. The letter is dated 1904.
