We are the Oregon branch of this family.
Listed on the 1880 census as:
James, (Wenzel) 50 Farmer, born Bohemia
Mary, 42 Keeping house born Bohemia
Antonio, 15 born Bohemia
JACOB, 13, born Bohemia,
Celia, 10, Bohemia, and Mary age 1, born in MINN. It was noted that only 3 of their 5 children survived, so one of these girls didn't make it.

in 1910, James (Wenzel) and Mary would be still on this same farm, and next door Anton and wife Mary would be listed as also farming. JACOB (Our line) would be in Oregon in 1904 with 3 kids, Elsie, Helen, and Edward, all born in St. Paul, Min.They would also spend some time across the river in Washington.

Would like more info on James -Wenzel, including folklore, if available.
