My great-grandfather, James Peter Hanson emmigrated from Denmark in 1881 as Jens Peter Hansen. On April 17, 1884 married my great-grandmother, Anete "Anna" Peterson in Stillwater, Washington Co. Minn. & became a Grocer & Mercantile owner in Stillwater until 1904 until they divorced. I have her immigration record from Norway on May 27, 1881, where she was originally Thonette Edvardsssen. Her destination was Glencoe, Minn. but I don't know who in her family she must have gone there to be with, as she traveled alone from Norway. I haven't been able to locate my great-grandfather's immigration record & wondered if anyone could help me find where to look. Where did most ships from Denmark arrive when they reached the US? I know from his obit that he had 4 sisters, but no names were given. The parentage & siblings for both my great-grandparents are one of my major brick walls. Any help would be appreciated.
