Hello Dee,
Thank you for responding to my query.

Yes, Nancy Caroline (Polk)first married to James Brenton in 1853 and then James died of Typhoid in the Civil War in 1862 in MS. Then she supposedly married a "John" Galbreth/Galbreath on Nov 26, 1863 in Sibley Co., MN.

I now have the 1870 and 1875 Minnesota census records and on the 1870 census Nancy is married to a John Galbreth age 50 and then in 1875 there is a James W. Galbreth age 62
living with her and no John. For some reason, I can't find this family at all in 1880 MN census.
I do know where Nancy Caroline Galbreath -d:Dec 1, 1898, is buried and there is no husband buried beside her - that I know of. I am still trying to figure this puzzle out.

Contact with the Brenton family researchers - they have no more info on their James Galbreath, the second husband. (The man who did the original research has died.)

Now that it's summer, I will go back to the cemetery where Nancy is buried and maybe see if I can see if maybe her Galbreath husband is buried in an unmarked grave.

Wish me luck ------- Thank you again for trying to help. I appreciate that.
