Researching the descendants of the four sons and seven daughters and of Jan & Veronika Simota that migrated in 1867 from Becice, Bohemia to Scott Co MN.
Sons were John Blaze, wife Mary Vanek, farmer, Scott CO; Frank, wife Rose Krenik, farmer Lanesburgh Twp. LeSueur CO; Joseph F.,wife Anna Wacek,farmer Scott CO; and Vaclav, wife Anna Vrtis,storekeeper - Veseli,MN
The daughters included three were moving to Dakota Territory: Anna m. Joseph Matejcek, Mary -m.Joseph M. Cecka and Elizabeth m. Mathias Rachac;and residing in New Prague Barbara m.Thomas Topka- saloonkeeper; Rosa m.Joseph Maertz - storekeeper; Veronika m. James Pelant - farmer Montgomery Twp, LeSueur CO.MN ; Josephine m, Frank J. Rachac-storekeeper Veseli, ,MN
WIll share information, although I have very limited information on the Topka & Maertz
families. My grandfather was Vaclav.
