My father was born in a chicken coop . His parents , Bjarne O Olson and wife Helen Annie Swanson turned a chicken coop into living quarters on the property of Theodor Meire and Mette Marie Olsen. This coop was by the barn behind the main house .House is no longer standing , I have been told . My dad Theodore M S Olson (spoke Norwegian only ) went to a school in Spruce ,and Perhaps his father Bjarne did as well . I would love some information on this school. Have been unable to find a photo of the building or any of the students .If some one could help me with this I would appreciate it so much . Also if any of these names sound familiar ,I would be interested in hearing what you have . My grandmother Helen had met a musician , we are assuming at one of the dances that were so popular in those days . Grandmother became pregnant , and had a girl , naming her Margaret Edna Swanson . We will never know who the father was , my parents have no idea .I know this was and is so common ,but ,,,I just wanted to get the story out there for someone who may be able to fill in the blanks to my story . Also am interested in a school in Salo , my father attended and perhaps father Bjarne attended there too . Bjarne Otelius Olson b 1907 Norway , his son Theodore M S Olson b 1931 in Spruce Roseau Minn .
