Hello Dale,
It has been awhile since your posting so I hope I can still help to find something on the Grant family.
From the 1880 census, I see that their first daughter, Ida Soph., was born in Sweden, so there should be an immigration record for them, coming to America around 1871-1873, since their second child Thilda, was born in the US. I will search for the record and I am also wondering what else you have have discovered about the family that you have not posted, so that you do not get duplicate information.
