In 1880, Amos G. Root, age 44, born NY, was farming in the Nicollet Township. He had a young wife - Mary Ellen, age 19, and two children from his first wife. The children included Della Ada age 11 born MN and A. W., a 1 year old son. Near by lived Ernest Burrill and his wife the former Ida Root, daughter of Amos. In 1900, Ida was a widow in Belgrade Township. Seeking ancestors, info on these people.
