"Died - Rose Rocksein died last Saturday at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Roathlisberger, in Fenton township, after a week's illness of scarlet fever. Her mother died about a year ago and since then the three little Rocksein girls have made their home with their grandparents, where they have been very kindly care for. Pastor Burkhardt conducted the funeral services in the church at Iona on Monday and the little body was laid to rest in the cemetery at that place. There was a large turn out of neighbors and friends to extend sympathy to the bereaved family." SlaytonGazette 7/18/1907
