13 Children were in attenedance at Golden Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ostendorf of Blackduck [MN] were in attendance when Mr. and Mrs. Ben Boeckermann celebrated their golden wedding on Sunday, Oct. 18 at Melrose [MN]
A Mass of Thanksgiving in St. Mary’s church at 10:45 a.m. followed by dinner for close relatives. Open house was held at St. Mary’s School from 2 to 4 p.m. The couple’s 13 children were present to host the celebration. They are:
Mrs. Frank A. Weichmann (Eleanor) of St. Rose(MN);
Mrs. Richard Ostendorf (Stella) of Blackduck(MN);
Lawrence of Hancock(MN);
Mrs. Henry Kampsen (Marie) of New Munich(MN);
Edmund of St. Anthony; Anthony of St. Francis(MN);
Mrs. Norb Ahrens (Caroline) of Grey Eagle(MN);
Wilfred of St. Francis(MN);
Mrs. Alfred Haller (Bernadette) of Butrrum(MN);
Mrs. Donald Hallermann (Helen) of Sartell(MN);
Frank and Roger of St. Rose(MN);
and Mrs. Vernon Rieland (Monica) of New Munich(MN).
A daughter, Rose, died in 1923(MN).
There are 95 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
Mr. and Mrs. Boeckermann farmed at St. Rose for 45 years.
They retired to their present home in Melrose five years ago.
This item was found among my Mother’s things and we are not related. I assume that some of them were friends of my family at one time. Unfortunately, there was no date on this item and no name of which paper it was taken from. A guess would be the Bemidji[MN] paper sometime between 1961-1967.
