I've been searching for one of my mother's aunts for a long time without any results.
This is what I know about her :
Anna Nilsdtr Skar(d) was born in Tysse, samnanger, Norway on Oct 5, 1895 and christened on Oct 27, 1895.
She eimgrated to America in 1921 and arrived on Ellis Island onboard the "United States" on May 11, 1921.
She was then called Anna Nilsen. She was on her way to her sister Sina Nilsen in Red Wing, Goodhue, Minnesota.
I've found Sina she married a swed Swan Swanson and died in 1966 without children. Anna was not mentioned in her obituary so she must have died before then.
In some old papers, one of my mother's cousins found a letter which showed that Anna married someone called Berg and that she had a son called David. But I've been unable to trace them.
I've posted a picture on another genealogy grou^p. It's taken of Anna and her sister in the States, Anne is on the right.
