I am looking for more information about Lewis O. Lind, who was my great grandfather. He was born March 30, 1847 in Sundsvall, Sweden and came to America in 1866,and after remaining 5 years in Anoka he moved to Becker Minnesota. He has held the office of Supervisor 3 terms, besides other local offices, and in 1881 was a Justice of the Peace.My father has the book History of the Upper Mississippi Valley and there was L.O.Lind INSURANCE AGENT, Becker, Minn stamped in it. He married Hedvig Carlson (of Sweden) on March 12, 1870. I have been told that he might have changed his last name when he came to America, possible from Lindstrom to Lind. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
