Looking for Information on Grant E. Newman who with his family lived in Osakis MN from about 1900 to 1914. His wife was Selma Anderson Newman and his little girl was Pearl Pauline Newman. Grant owned his own New and Second Hand Furniture Store, and a photographer. He was well known in this part and when he set out for California in 1914 in a covered wagon WITHOUT his wife and daughter, it was talked about all over town.

After Grant left Selma and Pearl stayed in Osakis until December 1915 when they moved to Iowa. Pearl later moved back and married a local man named Carl Riley.

Any info please contact me

Thanks

Aaron Smith
