Charles & William Gibbs-Rochester 1870s
Posted by: Missy Gibbs Date: September 18, 1998 at 10:37:12

Looking for information about Charles GIBBS, b. abt. 1838 in New York State and his brother William (b. abt 1846). In the 1870 Federal census Charles, wife Albina, sons Francis and Allison (b. 1867 and 1868), and William were living in Rochester, Olmsted Co. Charles was listed as a farmer. Does anyone know what happened to Charles, William or Frank? Allison was my great grandfather. He said that his father abandoned the family...this was probably in the early 1870s.
