Still curious 1) why you brought up the Defoe name, saying some people with that name are of Anishinabe heritage (they are, but the people in this thread are not descended from a Defoe) and 2) why you brought up people of Sioux/Dakotah heritage in South Dakota (no names given, but there are no discernible ties within the parameters of the mission of this thread). One person named Defoe married into this family; perhaps you are alluding to his relatives as being your family, but that still doesn't explain the reference to Dakotah people in South Dakota. So...I was hoping you'd return to comment!
