Back again Adrienne. I am wondering if you can jump start this search with any more information about Edith?

I am thinking of checking out Edith Marie Parker, daughter of Cyrus F. Parker and Dora Gibbs. This Edith married a DeFoe - but I think maybe was first married to George Callais? Need to research more, but thought maybe you'd just "know."

In the census when Edith is with George Sylvester Callais in Dakota County, Minnesota, she is noted as being born about 1902 in Minnesota. The Edith below is the right age and in the right place.

Dakota County, Minnesota
C. F. Parker 45
Dora Parker 40
Roy D Parker 17
Mildred M Parker 10
Edith M Parker 8
Ruth E Parker 5

Information from the Dalby Database:
Cyrus F. Parker born 1864 d 22 JAN 1927
SPOUSE Dora Edith Gibbs
MARRIED January 1886
buried at Red Rose Cemetery in Watertown, Dakota, Minnesota
also buried at Red Rose
Dora E Parker born 1869 died 09 Jan 1928

BINGO! Found it - the link between "your" Edith and parents Cyrus and Dora:

published in the Faribault Daily News
26 January 1927
"Cyrus F. Parker who died Saturday afternoon at his home in Waterford was born in Syracuse, N. Y., Oct. 3, 1864. When he was 14 years old he came to Northfield with his parents who made their home on a farm in this vicinity. He was united in marriage to Dora Edith Gibbs. Mr. Parker is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Bethel Hussey, Mrs. E. C. Lamphear, Mrs. George Callais and Roy Parker, all of the Northfield community. One son, Henry Ward, was killed in a railroad accident at Glenwood, Minn., when he was 18 years old, and a daughter died in infancy. He is also survived by two brothers and a sister in Wisconsin. After coming to Northfield Mr. Parker farmed in this community until six years ago when he moved to Waterford where he lived until the time of his death."

Since Cyrus was born in Syracuse, New York, it is highly unlikely he is partly Sioux. So Dora Edith Gibbs would be the person to investigate next.
