Classification: Death
Surnames: PETERSON

The Douglas County News, Thursday, September 13, 1883, p. 5, col. 3.

DIED.—Mrs. Mary Peterson, wife of Mr. G. Peterson of the City Hotel, died Tuesday night after a short illness, aged 30 years and 5 months. This is a sad affliction for Mr. Peterson and his four young children.
The funeral took place yesterday afternoon.

Transcribed from microfilm copy of newspaper at Minnesota History Center, St. Paul, MN

There was an 1880 census and an 1885 census for Minnesota.

Sven could be called Swan or Swen, which was a common way to do it in Minnesota.

It's hard to say where they may have gone after Alexandria, or if they stayed in that area. There was free land available in North Dakota, and even some in Canada. They could have moved on.
