Problems finding old relatives
Posted by: Tom Johansson (ID *****6923) Date: January 07, 2013 at 22:05:04

Would appreciate help with emigration, passenger and/or landing info on 2 sisters and 2 brothers from the same family from Plaggebo and Anemala at Langasjo in Ljuder socken,Krnbg,Smaland,Sweden who all moved at first, successively, to Harris, Minnesota. I have the following (unconfirmed) info from old family sources but are not having any success tracking them.
Parents; Father-Johan Magnus Johannesson b.9/2-1834.Plaggebo
Mother-Helena (Petersdotter) b.6/12-1838 at Vissefjarda.

Child #1-Ingrid Charlotta Johansdotter b.3/9-1861 left Swe. c:a 7/4-1882.[spouse John Alfrid Peterson b.26/9-1854 also from the same area] It is possible they were married in Sweden shortly bef. departing. John may have been on a return trip?

Child #2 Karolina Matilda Johansdotter b.14/1-1865 left Swe. 23/1-1885 (via Goteborg?)

#3 Karl Alfrid Johansson b.21/3-1868 left Swe. 14/4-1887 (via malmo?)

#4 Frans August Lindberg (Johansson) b.24/11-1856 left Swe. 4/5-1893 (via karlskrona 22/8 and Malmo?)
