Last summer I did go to the Minnesota History Center and tried to find his naturalization papers. There were a few that could have been his. Unfortunately, those documents gave no further details about entry port in the USA. Also checked to find an obit and even contacted the funeral home which still exists but no luck. There still may be a way of finding an obit, but I am unsure of the newspapers of that time in Minneapolis and where to look if they are online anywhere (I live in Asia so not easy to go back to MN...lol)
I will try the Swedish Institute site! Also, thank you for the possible clarification of his father`s name, I thought the same as you but didn`t think about the Henriksson--a great side avenue to explore!
