Forgot to point out that Lawrence's wife Ann is (obviously) too young to be Bernard's mother. So if this Lawrence is father to Bernard, Ann is a second wife. Or this Lawrence b 1810 could be a brother to Bernard b 1830. Or this could be the wrong Lawrence Carr. Bernard's father possibly is not in Minnesota. More digging needed...
