The photo of Joseph L. Omland's gravestone at Kingo-Landstad Cemetery (Fosston, Polk, Minnesota), found at Find a Grave, is the same as for John L. Omland 1866-1908 (they each have their own individual markers too).

Also buried at Kingo-Landstad Cemetery is Lars D Omland (1836-1920) and wife Asborg.

With the system of names in Norway, sharing the last name Omland doesn't necessarily mean this Lars Omland is related to Joseph Omland. It does suggest that Lars and the ancestors of Joseph had at one time lived in the same place in Norway (Omland being a place name). (In the twentieth century Norwegians adopted fixed surnames, as you may know.)

However, it was also Norwegian custom for parents to name their children after grandparents, and the name Lars Omland does repeat, so that does suggest a possible relationship. A wonderful photo of Lars is posted here:

Lars and Asborg Omland had a daughter Anne Omland who married Haaken Hagen Bostad who had a son Lawrence (an Americanization of Lars). All this according to Find a Grave.
