Hi Taryn,
MIchael Goedert was born in 1831.
William Franklin Goedert was born in 1838.
I have Michael's Civil War Documentation already.
I also have that census record for WIllam.
On his marriage Certificate in Missouri, it shows his name as Wilhelm Goeders - I am not sure why because other records it is Goedert not Goeders. I can understand the Wilhelm part though.
I am not sure how the name was spelled in Germany though.
This is my dilema. I don't have a way back to Germany, Luxembourg, or Belgium. Even with Michael.
Jerry
