Thank you very much Thomas for your research. I do have that information, however. Joseph Bolton (you had the right one) was my great grandfather, father of Muriel Kirk Clinton, my grandmother. He was never mentioned in the family and my grandmother and her mother used Esther Elizabeth's maiden name after 1900. I do not know if this was ever legally done, whether or not a divorce took place...it is a continuing mystery, as is the whereabouts of Joseph after the 1910 census. Also, Jenny Allen Bolton's death date and burial are a mystery. I did know that my greatgrandfather was a vet surgeon...I have his death certificate but am wondering if his father William Henry really died in Indiana or was living in MN in 1865 and was a military veteran. I am still not convinced that Andrew's middle name was Hankles...I cannot find legal evidence and although his Hankles is in his mother's family and they claim that it is his middle name, they cannot provide legal documentation and it would seem to me that if Andrew was from his mother's family the Henry would be most logical because his father's name was William Henry and Andrew named his son Joseph Henry...a mystery to be sure. I will keep searching...and thank you again for your reply. Rebecca Dexter
