Hi !
I'm looking for information about Signe Maria Lönnholm from Sweden. She was born on Dec 1, 1890, in Härkeberga parish, Uppsala county. In 1902 she moved with her family to Munkerud, Ransäter parish, Värmland county, where she lived until she emigrated on Oct 26, 1910. She was called Signe in Sweden and she was registered with the destination New York.
She married Paul Severus Peterson in the US. He was born on Jun 1, 1890, in Ransäter, Värmland. Paul lived in Munkfors, Ransäter, just before emigrating to Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 5, 1910. Munkfors is near Munkerud so he might have known Signe before moving to the US.
Paul was the brother of "Olle i Skratthult" who was a famous comedian in the Swedish-Armerican areas of the US. This name was sometimes translated as "Olle in Laughtersville". His real name was Hjalmar Peterson (1886-1960). Hjalmar and his wife Olga lived in Minneapolis.
I don't know where Signe and Paul met, but according to some Swedish relatives of hers they lived at least the last part of their lived in Seattle, Washington state. She died there around 104 years old !
I would appreciate any additional information about Signe and her husband !
