Hi Taryn - Thank you for the information. Karl probably did not leave home at 10 but probably (by himself) by age 14 or 15. I know he arrived in Canada Feb 1906 and all his family but him was on the 1911 Canadian Census. He would have been 15 in 1911. A cross country search was done on the 1911 Census and he could not be found. A search of cemeteries in the area showed no record of him. His sister Emma also left for the states but we knew where she was. Karl is our lost sheep.
