Ann,
Your Elizabeth Vaughan was the sister of my 2nd great-grandfather Strother Vaughan (sp. Rhoda McGuire) who came to Meeker County Minnesota sometime between 1865 and 1870 from Johnson or Floyd County Kentucky. Elizabeth married William Crider on Sept. 2 1841 in Floyd County Kentucky. Elizabeth and William had 12 children. Two of them, William Wesley Crider and Jackson Crider (sp Mary B. Collins) migrated to Minnesota at the same time Strouther Vaughan did. William Wesley Crider married Martha Goble, their daughter Eliza Ann Crider married Milton D. Shofner, whose daughter Sylvia Minnie married my great-uncle John Thomas Collins (Jeremiah A Collins, Spencer Perry Collins, Christopher Columbus Collins, Rhesa (Reese) Collins). The Collins, Criders, Vaughans, and McGuires (and other families) seemed to marry within this circle of cousins even after leaving Kentucky.
