I was told by my father, Donald Edward McGannon, Jr., when I was young that we were related to Darby McGannon who fought for many years in the revolutionary war. I even have a cousin who was named Darby McGannon. My father was born in Hutchinson Minnesota, where there are several generations of my direct McGannon anscestors buried. Thomas 1828-1906; his wife Elsie 1831-1909; Riley 1853-1933; his wife Laura 1853-1935; Edward 1874-1958; and Donald Edward 1900-1969. When I saw Meeker County, Minnesota I assumed it was probably where Litchfield was, where I was told several earlier McGannons were buried. I was correct Litchfield is in Meeker County!

I would greatly appreciate any information you have regarding the Darby McGannon family.
